Education
Academically I have set out clear personal targets at the beginning of each year and have worked towards achieving marks higher than a passing grade. With modulus and projects I look at the set criteria and consider the allotted time for completion. I then go on to plan out what I will be doing to achieve the criteria, Before I start I get a good understanding of what is required and how I am going to do it. By doing my work consistently and spread out I finish before the deadline and have time to critically evaluate my work personally and through the help of classmates and tutors. This practice method works extremely well for me and has produced successful results.

Working Goals
Professionally I aim to gain entry level employment (such as paid or unpaid internships) within the creative industry and work my way into full time paid employment. Todays' technology is advancing at an execrated rate my aim is to keep up with current events and industry trends. Whilst my interest lies primarily in 2D animation the popular use of mixed media has allowed me to actively explore different forms of artist expression. Since the begging of my final year (BA Hons) my skill set has advanced and my project has taken on a more ambitious structure and goal. I am now more confident in pursuing unfamiliar areas when taking on new projects. Furthermore I have gained valuable insight into what I am good at, what I enjoy doing and where my skills will best be suited.
From outside feedback on my work I have learned that my ability lies strongly within a personal and vast creative atheistic. With this in mind I believe that my knowledge and adaptability will help me in building a successful creative career. Using my creativity, ambition and experience I have the ability to problem solve, communicate with a wide selection of people.
Current thinking and future trends in animation
Currently we are in the digital era, visual effects in the creativity industry are on the rise and expectation is high. Over the years the reliance on 2D animation has waned, with new technological breakthroughs 3D effect and animation is still being explored. It would be fair to say that in the beginning it 2D dominated the creative industry, now there is a distinct presence of 3D. What the current day has given us is the prospect of mixed both 2D and 3D, ultimately using the best qualities of both mediums to transcend what animation can do.
With this in mind my personal preference of 2D is still a relevant medium within the industry. However it is also important to keep up with the current momentum of trends and technology, by advancing and adapting my skill set I am able to keep a basic knowledge of popular animation programs and platforms.
Analysis of employment market and personal objectives.
My professional objectives are set primary within the creative part of the industry. I feel that through my education I have learned that my best asset is my creativity. This became evident in my last project my final major animation. My skills have improved and through the application of traditional disciplines and techniques of 2D I was able to better understand how the entire process worked as a whole in achieving the goal of a successful animation with all elements brought together.
Design, content and function of online presentation
The minimalist approach is very popular in the current day industry. Simple designs are to the point, easy to navigate, professional and clean. I decided to add a personal touch to my website to better represent who I am and to promote my work. The personal touch tends to work well along side a professional presentation, promoting both sides, the artist and the person. Potential employers are looking for aspects in both and for the general viewing public it is much more accessible and easygoing.
